Colonel Anil Kumar NR has possibly one of the unique career profiles spanning over 23 years, who currently serves as the CEO of Brand ‘N’ Digital. His journey from being the sole bread-earner of his family at the tender age of 16 to becoming a commissioned officer at the Indian Army and later becoming an entrepreneur is inspiring.

Colonel Anil started his career with an investment banking company where he spent a year before joining the Officers Training Academy. During his stint with the Army, he was inactive combat in Jammu & Kashmir and North East, battling terrorists /insurgents. He has also been honored for leadership & bravery while eliminating two dreaded foreign militants in J&K. The Military Unit offered the title to the operations under the name ‘Rudra Anil,’ in his honor. He also had an opportunity to serve as a National Security Guard (Black Cat Commandos) Commando Squadron Commander in 52 Special Action Group, the only counter hijack unit in the Country.

As a commanding officer of an infantry unit, he led over 800 personnel, that went on to achieve excellent results during its deployment along Indo Myanmar Border. Over the two decades of an extremely diversified career at the Indian Army, Colonel Anil has proven his capabilities of leading large teams with absolute finesse.

He served with the United Nations as a part of its mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He trained Congolese Armed Forces to enhance their operational efficiency. In recognition of exemplary service and outstanding personal commitment that he demonstrated while serving with the UN, he was awarded the United Nations Force Commander Commendation and Appreciation of Congolese Armed Forces.

Colonel’s career at the Indian Army was an eventful one, and he loved every minute of it. He had accomplished the first-ever Strategic Air Lift of the Indian Army, conducted a precision and incident-free, sensitive Chemical Biological & Radiological Exercise for the first time in the Indian Army. He scaled ” Indira Col,” located in the northernmost tip of India (Tri Jn of India – China – Pak at 18,911 ft), and much more.

Twenty-three years ago, he didn’t flinch while following his heart that led him to become an Officer in the Indian Army. Now, 23 years later, he is back at it by opting for premature retirement from a much-coveted army office to follow his dream of becoming an entrepreneur.

He strives to perfect every assignment that he takes up with absolute finesse. To excel at his current business, Colonel Anil completed a six-month course from IIM Lucknow on Business Strategy & Leadership. He graduated from IIM Indore in 2020 & also has a Masters Degree in Psychology from IGNOU.

The Colonel takes immense pleasure in Ornithology and Photography at his leisure while also scoring a game or two of Golf. He can often be seen indulging in philanthropic activities to give back to the community. Besides spotting him enjoying himself at the gym, you may also locate the Colonel while on a trip triggering an adrenaline rush.
